

As a successful teacher, founder Steve Demme was asked to teach math to a homeschool co-op in Massachusetts. Steve combined his knowledge of curriculum with his experience as a teacher and taught math using a multi-sensory skill-based approach.
Steve and his wife Sandra have been married since 1979. They have been blessed with four sons. Their fourth son has Down Syndrome.

LaNissir works closely with homeschooling families, guiding them through every stage of the high school journey—from planning courses and transcripts to preparing for college, careers, the military, or vocational programs.
LaNissir and her husband are homeschooling parents of seven. With a deep commitment to serving families, she provides support that empowers parents to educate with confidence.

Yes, designated quiet or family spaces are available for breaks, nursing, or decompressing.
While we will not have a special Children's Drop off Program, we will have an activity table. We also ask that all children under 13 be accompanied at all times by one of their own parents or older siblings.
Yes, you can! Yes. Homeschooling is legal and available for children with all abilities. Parents can tailor lessons, therapies, and supports to meet their child’s needs. The New Jersey laws on compulsory attendance(N.J.S.A. 18A:38-25) have no restrictions on homeschooling special needs students. They are under the same guidelines as any student between the ages of 6 and 16. Parents/legal guardians can provide instruction at home that is equivalent to instruction received in the public schools.
Every student, regardless of learning differences or medical diagnoses, is uniquely and wonderfully made. One of the beautiful aspects of homeschooling is that we can tailor our teaching to each child's abilities, interests and needs. For more resources, read our blog post.
No, sessions will not be recorded or made available after the event. We encourage attendees to participate live and take notes during the workshops they attend.
